Gerber 05500 MP400 Compact Sport Multi-function Tool
Product Description About the Compact Sport Multi-Plier Multitool Gerber's Compact Sport Multi-Plier can best be described as the lighter, tighter version of Gerber's 600-series multitools -- but it's no less useful and versatile. This ultra-compact workhorse brings together all the functionality and performance of its big brother, with stainless steel hardware and Fiskars scissors that come tough enough to tear through seatbelts. Strong, durable, and easy to use, the Compact Sport boasts one-handed opening pliers and the Saf.T.Plus locking system to keep everything secure when not in operation. Stay safe, and stay ready for anything -- on the road, around the house, at the lake, or in the woods. Multitool Capabilities:

Gerber's History of Ingenuity Savvy. Moxie. Craftsmanship. Attention to detail. These are just a few of the company traits that contributed to Gerber's emergence as a world leader in outdoor gear. Joseph Gerber started Portland, Oregon's Gerber Advertising back in 1910, and one Christmas, he hired a local knife-maker to craft 25 sets of kitchen cutlery as client gifts. The knives were so popular, Mr. Gerber ultimately left his agency to launch Gerber Legendary Blades in 1939. It makes sense, really. An idea man gets the idea of a lifetime and turns it into a major outdoor brand -- one that commands respect among knife-lovers and knife-makers alike. And now that same high regard is spreading in new directions, in the form of many outstanding products such as tools, personal L.E.D. lighting, and backpack hydration. Manufacturer Description When it comes to rugged multi-tools, Gerber's Compact Sport proves that size doesn't matter. It's a smaller multi-function tool with full size performance designed specifically for customers who want less mass. This lighter, compact version of the 600 Series has 3/4 size smooth, no-pinch handles and 3/4 size plier jaws. It's just 5.75-inches long and 1.2-inches wide, and comes with genuine Fiskars scissors that cut anything from fabrics to denim to seat belt webbing. Tools include needlenose pliers, wire cutter, crimper, crosshead screwdriver, can opener, serrated drop point blade, Fiskars scissors, medium screwdriver/bottle opener, small and large screwdrivers. The Compact Sport also adapts to the Gerber Tool Kit. Reader Reviews The Gerber Compact sport is one of the best knives I have ever used from the one-hand opening to the locking blades. With the flick on your wrist, you are ready to do anything. The advantage between this and Lethermen is that you don't have to dig for your pliers. The Gerber knife is also good if you have kids because they can't get into it. With the pliers in the handles, it is next to impossable to open. The disagvantages Gerber are the price, and it is harder to get to the tools in your knife.
